Corrugator Quality Control System

The Qualitek QCS for the corrugator produces high-quality board at the optimum speeds by measuring and controlling heat and moisture for each grade of board. Adjustments are continuously made to preheater wrap arms, doublebacker loading, moisturizers, glue gaps based on on-line quality measurements and proprietary control algorithms. Installations of the Qualitek QCS have produced outstanding results as follows:

  • reducing controllable waste by an average of 10%
  • increasing the yield of flat board by over 75% against manual operation
  • reducing warp and loose liner credits by 30%
