01/2002 - Atlanta - 2 new orders for Qualitek

Willamette Industries, Bedford Park, IL ordered a Qualitek Production Control System for their upgraded corrugator in this new location. The system will be installed in January 2002. The control functions will include bridge controls, synchronized splicing, end of roll splicing, down roll minimization and speed optimization. This is the fourth order over the last two years received from Willamette - proof of the results and service provided by Qualitek.

MidCorr Packaging, New Carlisle, IN ordered the Qualitek Uptime Maximizer product to be integrated into their existing Qualitek quality control system. This system will provide management with a tool to monitor and manage downtimes on the machine and to improve operational efficiencies.

01/2002 - Frankfurt - Qualitek SprayTek system for Russia

ZAO Stora Enso Packaging in Balabanovo, Russia has ordered 2 SprayTek spray systems for their new BHS corrugator to reduce all kind of warp problems and improve quality of board.

01/2002 - Atlanta - VIB AirTechClassic spray system upgrade for the US

VISY Papers Staten Island, NY mill upgrades VIB AirTech^Classic moisture profiling to allow 2 inch control across the reel. VISY's VP 14 machine produces Linerboard from recycled fiber at speeds of 2500 FPM and has a trim of 200 inches. System upgrade from 4 inch to 2 inch control zones allow for a higher range and significantly higher resolution.

01/2002 - Atlanta - Qualitek's Production Control System for corrugators achieved excellent results

Evaluation of Qualitek Production Control system installations over the past year have demonstrated excellent results. At one integrated corrugating plant, speed has increased by 11 % and downtime due to missed splices and web breaks has been decreased by 30 % - a clear indication of the economic benefits of the system.
