02/2002 - Frankfurt - Qualitek VIB at the Corrugated in France

In addition to six new systems that were installed in the US, the company reports on positive activity in Europe for the year 2001. In Europe three orders of the SprayTek Air-atomized Moisturizer system to reduce warped board were placed. The orders were from Norpapp AS in Norway, Straub-Verpackungen GmbH in Germany and ZAO Stora Enso Packaging in Russia. The SprayTek system applies a fine controllable mist to the webs or liners to counter warp. The heart of the system is the unique design patented nozzle that delivers benefits such as:

maintenance free, nozzle does not plug
easy and quick installation
can use any water
fully controllable spray flow
150 mm or less zone coverage
fully integrated with Qualitek VIB process and quality control solutions

Upgrades on two Quality control systems have also been accomplished during the year. The system at Europa Carton in Lübbecke, Germany, was expanded to include control of the three steam zones at the doublebacker and to communicate with a new dry end system.. At Kappa, Hanau in Germany, a software upgrade was done to integrated the new singlefacer into the control strategy.

02/2002 - Frankfurt - New VIB SteamTech for Austria

Frantschach has ordered new VIB SteamTech for their PM 7. The VIB SteamTech will be used to control moisture and boost production of this paper machine.

02/2002 - Atlanta - VIB SteamTech Upgrade for the US

United CorrStack has ordered new VIB SteamTech steamshower to replace older steamshower with a new one. This new actuator will be Teflon coated and equipped with exchangeable diffuser plate for easy maintenance and cleaning.

02/2002 - Atlanta - VIB AirTech Upgrade for the US

Weyerhaeuser has ordered upgrade for their VIB AirTechClassic system to relocate the unit from PM 3 to PM 1. This turnkey project includes all auxiliary units including moisture control.

02/2002 - Frankfurt - New VIB AirTech for Czech Republic

IP Papirny Vetrni has ordered new VIB AirTech spray system for their SC machine. The spray system will have 164 control zones and is equipped with spraymist removal system. The system will have an integrated process station for the controls and will be connected to the existing measurement system for profile transmission.
