03/2001 - Frankfurt - New VIB AirTechPlus 6 order from SCA Laakirchen AG for their PM 11 Convertible project
Teamwork between Metso Paper Automation and VIB Frankfurt was key to receive this order on a new Voith Paper "One Platform Paper Machine Concept" installation to come in Austria. This new PM 11 will produce top quality SC A supercalendered magazine papers and a perfect moisturization of the sheet is required for the process. Sheet width is 8.850 mm prior to the reel, and the VIB AirTechPlus 6 spray system will consist of 546 nozzles, distributed over 6 rows in machine direction. SCA Laakirchen is already a user of VIB spray technology on their 2 existing paper machines for decades. This upcoming installation will include the latest patented nozzle technology, plus an automation system with the latest proprietary and unprecedented integrated control strategies from VIB and our joint venture partner Metso Automation. |

MD Papeis Ltda. ordered a VIB MoistureTech for on-line calender. This unique steam applicator with the VIB GlossTech steamshower at the nip of the calender, will improve the smoothness of the web. |
