08/2001 - Frankfurt - 2 VIB SteamTech steamshowers for Germany
Haindl Walsum has ordered from Metso Service a VIB SteamTech steamshower with new center roll to upgrade their PM 10 for moisture control and improved dryness. The world's largest paper machine at Papierfabrik Palm will use VIB SteamTech technology Metso paper ordered a VIB SteamTechTFF from VVN Solutions GmbH in Maintal for the largest papermaking machine ever produced. The giant PM 6 at Wörth, close to Karlsruhe, Germany, will produce approx. 600.000 tons of testliner and corrugated medium grades, start-up is scheduled for October 2002. VVN is the joint venture business of Metso & VIB, residing in Maintal at the VIB German plant, the VIB SteamTechTFF system for Palm will have a working width of 10640 mm and 133 profiling zones in cross machine direction. The unit will contain several proprietary features like at felt heating zone and other unique designs to fit this OptiPress press section of such unprecedented dimensions with two SymBeltTM shoe presses. |

Kondopoga has ordered an 8400 mm wide spray system for their PM 8, producing newsprint. This system is the third system at this site, PM 4 and PM 9 are using VIB moisturizing technology as well.

With the installation of the Qualitek QCS system a reduction of waste of 0,7 % has been achieved, the machine speed has increased by 4,7 % since start-up of the system. Payback time of the system is less than 18 months. |
